IFP-100
It is an active device, used for feeding a signal into your intercom system
from an
external source, or for feeding a singal from your intercom system to another audio
device (or both).
The IFP-100 will accommandate a wide range of input and output levels.
The IFP-100 contains
a studio quality microphone, transformer and will accept a signal
directly from a good quality,
low impedance, balanced or unbalanced are transformer
isolated from one another, provided
the IFP-100 is used as directed. |

Connections:
1. connection to the intercom system as via either of the 3-pin XLR connectors, just as a
belt pack. Loop-through is possible, however we recommend against its use in most
situation.
2. connections between the external systems and the IFP-100 are made via 4-pin XLR as
follows: output from external system-pin 1-shield (low); pin 2-signal(high)

input to external system-pin 3-shield (lowe); pin 4-signal (high)
both connections are transformer isolated and floating
if using balanced feeds, do not connect shields, even to each other , and insure
that they are grounded at the external equipment
if using unbalanced feed, connect signal to ˇ¨Highˇ¨ and shields toˇ¨Lowˇ¨.
Do not connect shields together. In order to avoid ground loops, dont make any
connection to chassis of the IFP-100 unless there are NO other ground
connections o external systems. If grounding is required, use only one of the
shields. |
3. plug the external system into the 4-pin XLR and the intercom system into either of
the 3-pin XLR connectors. Connect rest of the communication system back to the supply
or master station. |
